🌞Level 3⛅10mile⛅Walk from Edale Grindsbrook Jacob’s Ladder Upper/Barber Booth🌞
June 9 @ 11:00 am - 4:15 pm
This 9 mile scenic walk starts from Edale Village. We go up to Grindsbrook Clough following a stream the entire path and a little bit of scrambling at the top.
We continue and follow a path all the way to Crowden Rocks with beautiful views of the Edale Valley along the way.
From Crowden Rocks more stunning views of iconic rock formations like Wool Packs Pym Chair and Noe stool.
We then descend the famous steep Jacob’s Ladder which brings us to Upper Booth where there’s an ice-cream shop!
From there we go onto Barber Booth and follow the route back to Edale.
This walk is suitable for anyone with a good level of fitness and is used to more challenging terrain. As always we’ll have regular catching up points along the way.
Good walking boots are essential as is a light waterproof stuffed in your rucksack.
Make sure you have enough food and plenty of water with you. We’ll have a picnic lunch stop along the way.
Toilets at the start of the walk in the Carpark
Dogs are always welcome 🐾🐾 🐾 😊
Pub stop at the end of the walk at the Nag’s Head
Car sharing is necessary for this walk due to the journey time and lack of public transport on a Sunday.
Please post a message if you’re willing to help out and encourage more non drivers to join us. It’s also much cheaper for everyone sharing the travelling costs.
